The "MobilSiegel" awards companies that design their mobility in a climate-friendly way. The district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald is presenting the award for the first time this year. The award was developed together with the city of Freiburg and the district of Emmendingen. VAG is in charge of the organization. The "MobilSiegel" is awarded once a year to employers who can demonstrate their commitment to climate-friendly mobility for their employees. After three years, the company can apply for re-certification.
The decisive factor for certification is the existence of a mix of actions from the following different areas:
- Marketing & communication: this concerns all actions that make climate-friendly mobility attractive and easy to use
- Organizational structure: e.g. an agreement to organize business trips with climate-friendly means of transport or the financial support of climate-friendly mobility
- Infrastructure: this includes, for example, good and secure bicycle parking facilities, charging options for pedelecs or climate-friendly means of transport in the vehicle fleet.
The award clarifies that Bissinger is taking responsibility, both for its own employees and for our region and the environment, by taking action to make mobility climate-friendly in the long term and thus reduce air pollution, noise and road traffic.
