Speed Camera Marathon – Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility!
Dear colleagues,
In the coming days, the nationwide Speed Camera Marathon will once again take place across Germany, with increased speed monitoring to improve road safety. As a company, we also want to help raise awareness of this important topic and take responsibility when it comes to traffic safety.
Why is the Speed Camera Marathon so important?
The Speed Camera Marathon is an initiative aimed at reducing speeding and increasing awareness about safer driving. Speeding is one of the most common causes of accidents, especially in residential areas and on roads near schools or kindergartens. By temporarily increasing traffic controls, the campaign aims to remind drivers just how important it is to stick to the speed limit.
What does this mean for us as employees?
As members of our company, we also carry a responsibility when we're on the road—whether commuting to work, traveling on business, or driving for other work-related reasons. We’d like to encourage you to be especially mindful while driving during the Speed Camera Marathon and to respect all applicable speed limits.
Safe traffic starts with each individual. The Speed Camera Marathon serves as a reminder that we can all actively contribute to road safety through our driving behavior. We want every employee to reach their destination safely and in good health.
Our request to you:
- Pay close attention to speed limits, especially in areas that are frequently monitored.
- Be extra careful in 30 km/h zones, around schools, and in residential neighborhoods.
- Remember that even small violations can have consequences—not only in terms of safety but also in the form of fines.
Let’s set an example together and act responsibly when it comes to road safety.
Thank you for your attention, and drive safely!
